Finally, me and my boyfriend have settled down here in our new lovely town Visby! I must say that I never lived in a place like this before, everywhere you look it's water! :D Yea. I really enjoy life here in Visby, living in the middle of the city, studying 3D-graphics in the best 3D-school I can think of... And the best thing is that everyone in our school class have been borrowed laptops for 35. 000:-/st. 0_0 Often I must pitch my arm to realize that I'm not dreaming!
I'm sorry for not updating this blog on a very LOOONG time, It just has been too much since we arrived to Gotland. Too much to see and explore. It feels so weird that it already is November! Where have all the rainy long October days gone? It's like time has been on fastforward all the autumn throught! My god!
So far in this school I can say that I'm so glad that I have been studying 3D for a whole year before, because here the tempo on the lessons is much higher than in my last school. It's really good to have the basics already to fully concentrate on learning more. But I think it is a bit hard for those that never have done any 3D at all, or for somebody -that never have used photoshop! That's hard! We won't have any photoshop courses like the ones we had in our previous school, It's something they must study on their sparetime.
This was my first 3D-model for this school. I always wanted to model and texture a 3D frog, and the blue poison dart frog is one of my favourites. Here in Visby we are both using 3D studio Max and Maya, witch are really good. I always wanted to learn 3D's Max. And I must say, so far I prefer 3D's Max! It's better layout with the menus, and it is easier to find what tool you are look for. The thing I don't like so far is when it comes to lightning, but I think I can figure it out if I go into it more. Now I'm proud to say for the first time that I fully understand the unrap/uwmapping technics. It is fun!
I have sketched around a lot for a time now. Sketching of people or animals at the park, boat or bus stops without their knowing, hi hi. It always fun. :D
